In some cases, if this problem lasts for a long time, the brain of that person will be naturally familiar with that odor and that person does not have any awareness of bad breath.

There are some reasons why children are more vulnerable to bad breath than adults.

1.Eat sweets

Children love to eat sweets such as candy, cakes, chocolate and soft drinks. When eating these foods, sugar will stick to the deep space between teeth. Brush teeth and floss regularly are only partially effective. Therefore, it will make children suffer from bad breath.

2.Sleep a lot

Sleep too much also causes bad breath to children. Children easily suffer from bad breath if they open their mouths when sleeping. At that time, bacteria easily go to the oral cavity and live here. When babies sleep with closed mouths, there will be about 600 types of bacteria thriving in the oral cavity. In most of the cases, bacteria will be stuck in the mouth and fall into the tongue and around the gums. If babies sleep too much, their mouths will be dry, which creates a favorable condition for bacteria to multiply more. These contaminants associated with bacteria will form plaque. All of these things will cause unpleasant breath to babies when they get up.

Many people think that children have bad breath because of not brushing regularly.

However, this is only a small reason among the other causes, such as:

  • Unclean tongue
  • Tonsillitis
  • Sinusitis
  • Constipation
  • A lot of phlegm in the throat
